Red Cross trains Taliban?

I saw the following CNN report

"In the latest situation report issued Tuesday, the Red Cross disclosed that in April its workers "reached over 100 Afghan security personnel, over 70 members of the armed opposition, taxi drivers involved in the transport of wounded people, first-aiders and its own staff"

"The International Committee of the Red Cross is defending its practice of providing medical training and basic medical supplies to the Taliban in Afghanistan -- saying it is in line with the ICRC's mandate not to discriminate between different sides in a conflict"

I am without words, I've given money to the Red Cross and I know that they do great work but come on. Am I really paying for Taliban fighters to get first aid training and to be saved so that they can kill our troops in Afganistan? I know that this isn't representative of what the Red Cross does but give me a break.

1,000 Jobs + Bad News for Terrorists

Did you know that only 2o cents on the dollar that you pay at the pump pays for gas? The rest goes to the country where the oil was pumped. No wonder Radical Isamic terrorists aren't experiencing a recession.  ButI have bad news for terrorists worldwide.
America, Europe and China are working ever so slowly to cut off your funding. In this case Coda Automotive is working to build electric cars that will  bring "End Dependence Day." (its their slogan and I like it.) Not only are they planning on making the car in California but they are just inked a deal to make the batteries in Ohio. That means 1,000 new jobs in the heartland where our people needs jobs bad. Anyway check out the Coda Automotive website, cool car, cool site, just another way that we can stick it to radical Islam everyday.

A True Hero

Capt. Scott Smileys skied Vail, climbed Mount Rainier, got an MBA and won an Espy award. He also served in Iraq and was injured in a roadside bomb attack.  He has risen to the challenge of losing his sight to become the only blind member of the US Armed Forces. Not only that he's a happy hero with a family. I had the chance to meet him about a year ago and was totally impressed by his poise, conviction and belief in our nation. I had a chance to sit with him and listen (I watched) The Third Jihad with him. He shared with me his views on radical Islam and terror. I remember that he was sitting with his wife and I couldn't help thinking to myself what a role model for our nation. Here is a guy at the prime of his life that had everything going and he lost a major part of his life, his vision. He isn't bitter and isn't willing to give up. I am so happy to hear that he will be joining the faculty at West Point.  If you want to learn more see the whole MSNBC article here.

Department of Defense: Single Largest Energy Consumer

Did you know that the Department of Defense is the world's single largest consumer of energy in the world?  According to DESC (Defense Energy Support Center, the guys who buy all of DOD's energy) in 2008 they spent over $17.8 billion to run our military.  The vast majority of that oil (~80%) comes from people who give their tithes to terrorists (typically 2.5%). So just to understand: $17.8 Billion is what our military spends on energy, or $14.4 billion the Middle East. Of that $356,000,000  is going to help the guys who are laying IED's, killing our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan and who are hijacking ships off of Africa. Maybe the Department of Defense should consider Alternative energy? What do you think?

Go Geert!

This was the headline I saw in Google News this morning when I woke up for a drink in the middle of the night. “AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, June 5 (UPI) -- Geert Wilders, the Dutch anti-immigrant maverick, apparently led his party to a surprising runnerup slot in the Netherlands' European elections, officials say.Exit polls in the election to choose a European parliament indicate Wilders' Freedom Party won 15 percent of the vote and claimed 25 seats Thursday. That would be enough for a second place finish to The Christian Democrats of Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende and a step ahead of the Labor party of Wouter Bos...” I want to personally congratulate Geer t and I believe that Geert is the only hope for Europe to avert total destruction. With 15% of the seats in the Danish parliament Geert’s party is going to be a major political force but it’s too bad that the press describes him in a negative manner. Geert is already being prosecuted in Holland for inciting hatred What’s the deal with that? When is the last time a radical Imam was prosecuted? When is the last time that Geert or his followers rioted? There is a major double standard in the world. Geert has taken a major stand on the issue that we need to recognize as the one that will determine the fate of our children. Do we want to live in a world dominated by Sharia? I know that I don’t want to live in a world whose values are totally wrong in my eyes. I don’t believe that women should be turned into slaves or that children should be turned into killers. I may not agree with Geert’s position on a lot of issues. But Geert I congatulate you and take my hat off to you. I wish you success and hope that we succeed in pushing back Sharia.
