Flight 253 was Avoidable: A Funny Eye Opener

January 6th, 2010

Here is a funny clip from a recent Daily Show episode. Although humorous, it really drives home the point that the Christmas Flight 253 attack could have been avoided. A real eye opener!

CAIR: Empowering Muslims to Ignore Terrorism

January 4th, 2010

CAIR Fundraiser

CAIR is raising money for a campaign launched last week: A 15 second ad in Times Square, to be seen by millions that highlights the “average” Muslim-American, including a human rights activist and a little league player.

Most agree that there are moderate Muslims who are in fact “good Americans.” The issue however is the amount of effort that CAIR is putting towards highlighting Muslims as patriotic, when nowhere on their site is there any condemnation of the Flight 253 terror attack, or other terror attacks for that matter.

Not only is this new campaign an attempt to show all Muslims as patriotic, CAIR exudes misplaced priorities by showing that anti-Islamic rhetoric is America’s biggest problem. Forget the threat to our national security.

I checked out the press release section to see their response to the huge increase in homegrown terrorist activity. I found nothing. What I did see, however, was a press release condemning the popular and controversial show “Curb Your Enthusiasm” for mocking Jesus. Thank you CAIR. None of us can see through your mask and we actually believe that you care how Christianity is portrayed in the media.

If CAIR spent as much time denouncing terrorism as it did playing a ridiculous role of “Serving Our Country,” American Muslims would be far better off.

Email CAIR Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper, ihooper@cair.com and let him know that he is doing nothing but hurting American Muslims.

US authorities refuse to “connect the dots”

December 29th, 2009

The New York Post in an article today entitled Lying to Ourselves speaks about the fact that Umar Abdulmutallab, a wealthy Muslim university graduate, clearly planned to carry out his attacks on Christmas day in the name of religious fanaticism.

What he planned was a terror attack on Northwestern flight 253, inspired by the doctrine of radical Islam. His own father, a wealthy reputable banker in Nigeria, called the US embassy to warn them that his son had become radicalized. And yet, not only did the security system fail to catch him, our administration refuses to connect this incident with radical Islamic terror.

Much like the initial reactions after Fort Hood, our government rejects the claim that this man acted out of religious zeal. By continuing to ignore this fact and try and interpret every incident as isolated, we are only making it easier for the terrorists to take another shot at us. They have a well financed, global network powered by religious fervor and a penetrating ideology that has its goals set on bringing down the West.

Until we stop lying to ourselves and our administration starts to “connect the dots” no number of deodorant cans collected at the airport will put a real end to the terror.
