Saudi Women May Be Forced To Even Cover Their Eyes

n yet another example of the extreme oppression of women in Saudi Arabia, a conservative Islamic committee has proposed a law to stop women from revealing their "tempting" eyes to the public. 
Saudi women are already required by law to completely cover up from head to toe when in public with the exception of their eyes, and usually eyebrows. Women caught not strictly adhering to the modesty laws risk being publicly flogged. 
However, Saudi Arabia's Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice (CPVPV) found that even women's eyes could sometimes be too attractive for men and drafted a new proposal.
According to the Daily Mail, a report on the Bikya Masr news site suggested the proposal was made after a member of the committee was attracted by a woman's eyes as he walked along a street, provoking a fight. The fight culminated in the woman's husband getting stabbed twice in the hand. A spokesperson for CPVPV, Sheikh Motlab al Nabet, said a proposal aimed at making it illegal for women to be in public without covering themselves up completely, if they happened to have attractive eyes, had been tabled.
In a country where women are not allowed to be in public unless accompanied by a male relative and where they are banned from driving, this latest and utterly absurd development must surely be a wake up call to Muslim women around the world, not to mention human rights groups. What might be happening in Saudi Arabia today could very well be implemented en mass across the Muslim world. When are women finally going to stand up and say, “Stop! Enough!”?

I am firmly of the conviction that this religion, Islam, will result in the fulfillment of Genesis 16:12, where the angel of the Lord said of Ishmael "And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him"
These people are going to push the rest of the world until someone says "enough"!
I do object to the idea that "Radical Islam" is the enemy. The God of Islam is not the God of the bible. He is satanic, if not Satan himself. How can you have a "moderate" follower of Satan?
Why isn't the Muslim man responsible for his own actions when he looks at the eyes of a woman? These people blame others for their own sins!

I agree with you 100%. You hit it right on the head that the god of islam is not the God of the Bible. Islam is a satanic cult. Why do people agree with your intention but not your method? All you did was share a truth. I agree with your radical truth against the lies and oppression of islam.

While I agree that Islam itself is radical, and that it is a throwback to the middle ages, your own posts reveal that you are radical as well.

Comments like yours only serve to inflame tensions, something that is bad for everyone. Enough already. Anyone who read this article knows how radical the Sunnis are, we don't need someone quoting scripture to tell us that. We already know.

And FYI, I am a proud Jew, so don't even think of accusing me of being part of the "religion of peace".

The day when enough tension is "inflamed" as to provoke a response from non-evil people of the world, people that are repeatedly failing to stand by what they believe to be true, failing to stand up to evil, This will be a happy day indeed when atheists, Jews, Christians and Hindus stand up to those trying to kill us all.
