CNN interview yesterday featured this interview, where this guy introduces himself as a "typical Muslim." It is possible however, that a self proclaimed typical person might not be that typical after all.
If you were at yesterday's rally we want to hear from you. How did it go?

none of you people actually want to learn. you've gotten your education about islam from fox news and you are content with that... however, you must know that you are living your life in ignorance and spewing hatred towards your fellow americans.
i seriously doubt any of you know anything about what's really in the qur'an besides a few choice verses plucked out of context... and you obviously don't know much about the issue at hand because what is proposed at this site is neither a mosque or at ground zero. it IS a community center (which happens to have a prayer space) and it IS two blocks away from ground zero.
i love how a person who has looked up a few verses using wikipedia and subscribes to the jihadwatch website suddenly becomes a scholar of islam and is more in the know than someone who is actually a follower of the religion, who has read the qur'an and supplemental material to understand it's context, who has read the hadith (traditions) of the prophet muhammad, and who has attended lectures, and read books....(none of which, by the way ask or tell me to slaughter innocent people...matter of fact it only asks that i defend myself and the good name of God when i am attacked)...
get over yourselves and stop spewing your bigotry and hate. grow a pair and actually have a conversation with a muslim... you might learn something. all this fear mongering has to end.
I'm eager to learn about the moderate version of Islam! I'm eager to find out about Islamic groups that openly and actively oppose Jihad! I want to find religious Muslims that respect human rights and freedom! Show me!
You see, MY religion demands ME to respect and honor all kinds of religious views. I'm forbidden to force mine on anyone in anyway, so much that I keep my religion a secret. So I'm looking forward to respect Islam as a major religion. But in the same spirit, I despise and reject anyone else who is forcing one's religious view on someone else, be it by might, fear or deception. So until I see Islam that actually promotes coexistence and respect, it is an enemy for me.
So please, I beg you, explain it to me, post me links to those peace-loving Islamic organizations, that weren't stained by links with terrorists, post me the names of those books you mentioned (I will read the Qu`ran asap, I promise), show me highlights of Islamic religious leaders condemning Al-Qaida, Hizballah and Hammas! Give me the reason to respect Islam, because I really want to!

Are they kidding me? Building a mosque at ground zero. No matter what the koran teaches. All the fucking muslims are walking terrorists.
There's no modernized islam. There's only the middle-aged version.
This reporter asks Pamela if she has read the Quar'an and seems to have her mind set in ignorance from the very beginning. Read the Quar'an! What is happening in the name of Islam, that is terror attacks, is exactly what their satanic book of hatred commands them to do. Since the very beginning Islam has never coexisted peacefully with any other belief system where they are the majority. Then, to attempt to build a Mosque right at ground zero is a slap in the face to all freedom loving Americans.
and it was sooo obvious that this reporter wasnt going to give her a "real" interview anyway! she was rude and kept interupting Pamela and then was the exact opposite with the Muslim Scolar. What has happened to real reporters that actually want to hear what the people they are interviewing have to say? If she didnt want to interview her fairly then dont do the interview at all!!!
