How One Hebron Man Tries to Get Honor

 

Ayah Baradiyya, a 20-year-old University student from a small village near Hebron, was missing for over a year until her body was discovered at the bottom of a well earlier this month. 
Undisclosed evidence at the scene led police to believe that Ayah’s 37-year-old uncle had something to do with her death. Her uncle confessed within 3 hours of his arrest.
The uncle murdered his niece in an attempt to “preserve the family’s honor” claiming she had engaged in improper sexual relations.

Speaking of honour killings there is a trial on right now of an alleged honour killing in Kingston, Ontario with the Shafia family. Several daughters and a first wife of Mr. Shafia were alleged to have murdered in a Kingston canal.
