Rifqa Barry is coming back to Ohio, well maybe…

Yesterday it was announced that Rifqa Bary is to be sent back to Ohio. But not so fast. There will be another hearing when/if her immigration documents are found. This story of a girl who at the age of 17 ran away from home for fear of an honor killing because she converted to Christianity is getting more and more complicated.
No doubt, Rifqa has become a poster child. Rifqa represents freedom of religion- the right to choose your faith. She also represents a clash of cultures within the immigrant population.
It is a very touchy case. On one hand in general we should be able to put our trust in parents and assume they are not out to hurt their daughter. It could be that Rifqa is an anguished teen, perhaps on the dramatic end of the scale. On the other hand, Rifqa is living in the United States and feels that she will be under direct threat if returned home to her parents. Plus she is almost 18. There is a general consensus amongst those who feel she should be kept in Florida as her parents would ship her off to Sri Lanka at the first available opportunity, which would very likely result in her death.
If you were the judge what would you do? Do her parents have the right to at least prove themselves to be good parents or does her fear of being killed trump all else? Let’s exercise our free speech and get the conversation going.

Even After knowing that the girl would get killed, it is not fair to send her home..
Her parents also should understand and not do such some silly things which are against Rifqa...She should have her freedom, and should not be treated like a slave...

Oops, If not clear....ALLAH came to destroy the Jew on Saturday...etc
It is ridiculous that any judge would even consider sending her back
to her family who's religion demands her death as an infidel.
We must stop the lunacy of political correctness - Jesus wasn't
politically correct, anything but. God came to earth and died for
US, for Rifqa, so SHE wouldn't have to strap on a bomb and blow herself
up for Allah. Allah is NOT our God, THE God of Christians and Jews
who IS LOVE. He came to destroy the Jew on Saturday, the Christian on
Sunday and then everybody else, then they will kill each other. Does this
sound like love?
This judge needs to do a little homework.
I totally agree with him..that any judge wont sent a woman back to her family who's religion demands her life..

Those who discount this girl's fears are not very well informed about Islam. Honor killings are required in and accepted by the Islamic community. To ignore this would be the same as sending a baby home with a parent whose religion requires that they sacrifice babies. An individual's duty to God trumps their duty country and to ignore that is to deny reality.

I think it would be inviting disaster to force this child to return to her parents. Clearly, at the very least, she seems to believe she will be harmed or killed if returned. We must, again at the very least hold her in Florida so that she can be properly evaluated by psychologists. Considering she will be 18 in a few months, surely that process will take at least that long. After evaluation, she should be granted asylum in the US because she will most certainly be killed in a Muslim country, where changing from Islam to any other religion is rewarded with a death penalty as demanded in the Koran.
Let justice prevail this time, deport the illegal parents and give the child a chance for a life free from threats of "honor" killings, which we know DO occur with regularity in Muslim countries.
Save Rifqa--it is not her fault SHE is here illegally, she had no choice in the matter.
As an American who has lived in a few Muslim countries and even married into a Muslim family, I have seen first hand the behavior and beliefs of radical organizations within eye shot of my home. While my Muslim relatives have very similar values as I do and respect Christians, unfortunately, many in their community don't and would support the killing of this young women. Clearly, Rifqa has concerns about her safety and clearly the Mosque she father attends should be a concerned to any person who follows stealth Jihad in our country. It doesn't take much to put the pieces together. Even my Muslim relatives are concerned for my safety when I speak out against radical Islam since even they have experienced discrimination when sticking up for their son in law.
Her freedom of religion trumps her parents authority over her. The judge cannot send her back home because it would violate he freedom of religion, the only reason he is doing it is to avoid offending Americas enemies. Her parents should be arrested and investigated for child abuse.
There exists enough evidence to provide a reasonable doubt about Rifqa's safety in her parents home, most compelling of all is her testimony. There is nothing unclear about "I'm afraid they're going to kill me!"
Again, the desire to appease the muslim community, a desire born of a well founded fear of their wrath, is the apparent cause.
The real root cause is the casting aside of basic ideas of justice and fair play, while pandering to the evil of political correctness and the liberal victim mentality.
The judge had no business sending her back to hostile environment. If child were anything but Muslim, she would have been put under court supervision until she turned 18 and parents would have been investigated HARD for suspected child abuse. Since her family is Muslim, the POLITICALLY CORRECT JUDGE had to send her home to keep from offending Islamists. WHO IS GOING TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY WHEN HER FATHER MURDERS HER? THE JUDGE IN FLORIDA? GOVERNOR OF OHIO??? There's not a pair of balls between them.
