CAIR: Empowering Muslims to Ignore Terrorism

January 4th, 2010

CAIR Fundraiser

CAIR is raising money for a campaign launched last week: A 15 second ad in Times Square, to be seen by millions that highlights the “average” Muslim-American, including a human rights activist and a little league player.

Most agree that there are moderate Muslims who are in fact “good Americans.” The issue however is the amount of effort that CAIR is putting towards highlighting Muslims as patriotic, when nowhere on their site is there any condemnation of the Flight 253 terror attack, or other terror attacks for that matter.

Not only is this new campaign an attempt to show all Muslims as patriotic, CAIR exudes misplaced priorities by showing that anti-Islamic rhetoric is America’s biggest problem. Forget the threat to our national security.

I checked out the press release section to see their response to the huge increase in homegrown terrorist activity. I found nothing. What I did see, however, was a press release condemning the popular and controversial show “Curb Your Enthusiasm” for mocking Jesus. Thank you CAIR. None of us can see through your mask and we actually believe that you care how Christianity is portrayed in the media.

If CAIR spent as much time denouncing terrorism as it did playing a ridiculous role of “Serving Our Country,” American Muslims would be far better off.

Email CAIR Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper, ihooper@cair.com and let him know that he is doing nothing but hurting American Muslims.

‘Legal Jihad’ Threatening Online Journalists’ Rights to Free Speech

July 5th, 2009

Many know about the threats that radical Islamists pose to national security.  But many Americans simply are unaware of a non-violent Jihad taking place in the U.S.  This, potentially more dangerous threat, seeks to use and abuse the freedoms that define America against us.

One of the most dangerous techniques being employed by radicals, is known as “lawfare” or “legal jihad”.  You can learn more about this threat here: http://www.radicalislam.org/threat/stealth-threat/legal-manipulation

Today, WorldNetDaily exposes “legal jihad” in action, following the suit of several Islamic organizations against an online journalist.

Richard Thompson, president and chief counsel of the Thomas More Law Center, commented, “This frivolous lawsuit is an example of the legal jihad being waged by radical Islamic organizations throughout our nation. These lawsuits are aimed at stifling the free speech rights of Americans who dare to expose their agenda. They intentionally file lawsuits to intimidate reporters who seek to expose their agenda. By making it costly to defend against their lawsuits, they hope journalists will refrain from writing about the threat to our nation.”

This is a dangerous threat, and one that must be understood, if we are to succeed in the fight against radicals in our country.

Signs of Bravery - Fighting Radical Islam

June 3rd, 2009

Two recent stories highlight citizens engaged in behaviors that, taken on their own, are unlikely to have a dramatic impact on the rest of their community.  However, at the same time, they represent feats of bravery that, in tandem with similar acts by others, have the power, over time, of helping affect cataclysmic shifts in their societies.

In Tehran, lawyer Mohamed Mostafei is representing 30 of Iran’s 135 underage citizens on death row.  He was quoting in a recent Wall Street Journal describing his work, saying, “We defend and protect victims whom the law does not protect.”

According to the same article in the Journal, human rights have been deteriorating under the regime of Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who is up for re-election this month.  Read more…
