This Week, Let's Remember

Every year that passes since September 11, 2001 it becomes increasingly difficult to remember how we felt on that horrific day. Somehow we found that life goes on. We continued in our daily routines, with work, school, family, friends and life in general. That is why every year it is more and more important to take a moment during this week leading up to Friday and remember. In addition to remembering we must inform ourselves and others that the threat that faced us eight short years ago still very much exists today. Looking back over the blog posts from the past few months one thing becomes clear. As Americans, we must open our eyes. What will it take for us to realize how big the threat really is? If it wasn’t the New York Bronx foiled terror plot, then maybe it would have been the shooting of the recruiting officer in Little Rock? Or what about the Minnesotans who flew to Somalia to pick up arms? Only by informing ourselves and others can we really make a difference so that for the years to come we will still be remembering 9/11 and not the next great American tragedy.
