Update: Rifqa Bary, Where is She Now?

Some of you may be wondering, whatever happened to Rifqa Bary? It was almost a year ago when we first heard her name. We learned of the story of a girl who converted to Christianity and then ran away from her Muslim parents, to Florida. She was then brought back to Ohio, the state where her disapproving parents lived. They fought in court to see her, and she wound up living in foster care, awaiting her 18th birthday, which is now tomorrow.
A judge has recently granted Rifqa Bary’s request to block a reunion with her parents. The next phase in her saga is that as an illegal immigrant, she fears deportation to Sri Lanka, where her life will likely be endangered as she converted to Christianity. Bary was also diagnosed with uterine cancer, for which she is being treated in the United States. Click here to read more about Bary’s current situation.

News That is Important to YOU - Malaysia Terror Plot Foiled

If there is a story or news item that you think is important and don't see on the site, we would love to post it. Please email info@radicalIslam.org and we'll post your stories.

---

It was reported yesterday that 9 foreigners and a local were arrested for plotting to blow up 2 places of worship in Malaysia. Motive was purportedly because Malaysia was losing its identity as an Islamic country! So bombing a place of worship is going to make the Muslim more pious?

What is more alarming is that the terrorists are not even tried but merely ejected to their countries of origin! Having passports cancelled is no biggie as they can easily obtain new ones or fake ones. The local terrorist only has his movements restricted instead of detained. Whereas political prisoners of conscience are detained here for years, some even decades!
Please highlight this gross miscarriage of justice under Global Threat. Malaysia's leniency towards these terrorists is only going to encourage more terrorists to treat it as they have done Bali.

Iran's Revolution – 1 Year in… Has it Only Just Begun?

Iran's Revolution – 1 Year in… Has it Only Just Begun?
In this article, Michael Ledeen reviews the brewing revolution, on the first anniversary of the last year's election.
"Today is the first anniversary of the fraudulent election that kept President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in power, igniting huge demonstrations all over Iran. At the time, very few outside observers believed that most Iranians hated the regime of "Supreme Leader" Ali Khamenei and Mr. Ahmadinejad and were willing to risk their lives to bring it down.
Having failed to recognize the intensity and dimensions of the opposition, many Iran observers performed a neat about-face, concluding that the regime was doomed and would be brought down in the near future. Yet while there have been many demonstrations this past year, the regime has brutally fought back, killing or arresting hundreds if not thousands of real or suspected critics. Although not a day goes by without protests (typically at universities), large, organized demonstrations are too risky."
