CNN interview yesterday featured this interview, where this guy introduces himself as a "typical Muslim." It is possible however, that a self proclaimed typical person might not be that typical after all.

Surprise, surprise, another terrorist-related arrested with links to Somalia.
Fox news reported:
Mohamed Hamoud Alessa, 20, of North Bergen, and Carlos Eduardo Almonte, 26, of Elmwood Park were charged with conspiracy to commit international terrorism and were picked up by the FBI before boarding flights to join the Somali Al Qaeda affiliate Al Shabaab, officials said. Both men are believed to be American citizens. The two men were arrested following a years-long investigation and were charged with conspiring to commit an act of international terrorism through a group tied to Usama bin Laden’s Al Qaeda network, a federal law enforcement source told FOXNews.com.They say there was no specific threat at the airport, but clearly the FBI are on to something. When Art Becomes a Hate Crime - Great Cartoon!

This is a really important cartoon, because it clearly highlights what happens when radical Muslims are completely intolerant. Although the Holy Bible in the toilet might not be a tasteful form of art, it is not interpreted as a hate crime. However, the Koran in the toilet, as the cartoon displays is interpreted as a hate crime. And unfortunately, as we know from past experience, this situation would probably not end simply with a "hate crime" sign above a toilet.

DEMONSTRATION IN NEW YORK ON TUESDAY, MAY 11TH AGAINST THE RECENT FAILED TERRORIST ATTACK AT TIMES SQUARE
HRCARI, an apex body of 35 associations representing various Christian, Jewish, Hindu and Sikh groups is organizing a demonstration at Times Square on May 11th to express its disgust and anguish against the recent failed terrorist attack by an American citizen of Pakistani origin at Times Square.
In view of the obfuscation and deception by the media and the politicos to refuse to name the enemy, Radical Islam, our Rainbow Coalition, HRCARI, has decided to alert our fellow citizens as to the war that is being waged against America and human rights. This is a must read article, because basically it is unbelievable. A leader of the Muslim Brotherhood is demanding (note: not suggesting) that Mecca become the center of world time instead of Greenwich.

The Sad Reality of Child Brides

Over the past week, we have heard about two extremely tragic incidents from Yemen regarding child brides. Last week a 13-year-old bride bled to death after she was married. Her husband forced her to have sex and eventually raped her to death. A few days ago, a second story surfaced of an 11-year-old girl who was hospitalized with genital injuries. In this case her husband said that he would wait until she reached puberty to consummate the marriage, but unsurprisingly he did not. In February of 2009 a law was introduced in Yemen stating that girls could not marry until the age of 17, but the law was repealed because some lawmakers viewed it as “un-Islamic.” This statement reinforces the notion of child brides is in fact supported by Islam. We often hear about these stories from human rights organizations, such as UNICEF and Oxfam, but they claim to treat these situations carefully for fear of an explosive political issue. However, we must ask: if this issue is not worth fighting against what is? Read more about these stories here and here and then make a difference.
