Terrorist Named in Times Square Attack- No Surprises Here

Thirty year old U.S. citizen, Faisal Shahzad was arrested last night at JFK. Hailing from Pakistan, Shahzad failed to detonate a car full of explosives in Times Square.
We initially heard about this incident a few days ago but wanted to hold off on commenting as to not jump to conclusion. We did not want to say – look here is another example of homegrown terrorism, so we waited. Lo and behold all of our assumptions were confirmed – al Qaeda linked terrorism strikes again, no surprises here. What will still be surprising if the media makes this villain out to be a lone-wolf (yet again). In the meantime, check out what different sites are saying thus far, and stay tuned for more in the coming days.

Not a Joke: Muslim Brotherhood Leaders Demand Mecca Be Center Of World

This is a must read article, because basically it is unbelievable.  A leader of the Muslim Brotherhood is demanding (note: not suggesting) that Mecca become the center of world time instead of Greenwich. Are Muslims Exempt from Health Insurance? ObamaCare Confusion Continues

There have been some stories that have surfaced that claim that Amish and Muslims will be exempt from the newly passed healthcare plan. Much of the debate has linked back to this American Thinker article. Is insurance being un-Shariah a known thing? Does anyone have any particular examples of this? There are many instances when insurance is necessary, for renting cars, renting apartments, etc., so what do Muslims do? Have there been many cases of this before? Also, what will happen to the uninsured Muslims? This is definitely a let's stay tuned to see what happens situation, but if anyone has any insight or knowledge of this issue (beyond the American Thinker blog), let's hear it!

Citizens Against Citizens Against Humor Stand Up for South Park Creators

I am sure most of you have heard about the latest South Park drama. Basically, creators Matt Stone and Trey Park depicted Mohammad in a bear costume in the 200th episode of the show. They said that the joke was that he had to be in a suit because they couldn't portray him otherwise. As it turns out they basically received death threats anyways. Now, the site revolutionmuslim.com that initiated the threats has now been hacked. Sounds too funny to be true? It gets better. Now an organization called "Citizens Against Citizens Against Humor" have announced that May 20th will be Everybody Draw Muhammad Day. In the poster below you can see that their goal is to water down the pool of targets and defend the first amendment. First off all, this is an extremely creative way to stand up for freedom of speech. We should continue to look for creative and smart ways to get our point across. However, is it possible this is going to far? Can we come up with a better way to protect our rights and freedoms without being offensive?
