Think Again Before Booking a Marriott Room!

The Marriot Hotel in Hamburg, Germany, agreed to host the Iran Business Forum that will help promote Iran-German business relations. The event explores, "“investment possibilities in the northwestern provinces of Iran,” undermining international economic sanctions leveled against Iran for their aggressive nuclear ambitions.

The event's keynote speaker is Iran's German ambassador, Sheikh Attar, who "represents a criminal regime that flouts international law in developing an illegal nuclear weapon, brutally represses its own people and is the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism." Iranian Kurds and human right supporters said that Ambassador Attar supported a massacre against Kurds when he was governor of Kurdish and Azerbaijani provinces.

The group, United Against Nuclear Iran, wrote a letter to the Marriott executives and threatened, "UANI will take action against the Marriot hotel chain worldwide.  UANI will call on its activists to peacefully protest your properties, and will call for a general public boycott of all Marriot properties."

Should the Marriott chain be held responsible for pursuing their own business interests over international concerns?

Follow the Pig Masks as they Lead by Example

Here is an interesting video, I know that it is in French, but basically you can get the gist of it. This is what happened, a restaurant chain in France named Quick said that they would change some of their restaurants into Halal restaurants, meaning they won't serve pork. This clearly demonstrates that there is a population shift in these areas. There are more Muslims than before. The lesson, however, that I believe we can take from this is to look how the people protest. They put on masks of pigs and come up with slogans. They march into the Quick restaurants and make a peaceful scene. The radical Muslims could learn A LOT from this effective campaign (which has already been seen by well over 100,000 online). The point is this – you don't need to riot or be violent to get your point across. Just check out the guys in the pigs masks!

Did he cross the line in what he said? Clearly he is not acting in a politically correct way, but is this okay? Is Geert Wilders on to something?

Is Eating Pork a Right? France Food Chain Says NO

One of France's most popular fast food chains has made a controversial decision to remove pork from its menu at eight locations. These locations are now halal. Quick in France Perhaps this was a wise business decision and it is simply a case of wanting to appeal to a wider audience, or perhaps they were threatened. One customer stated "I don't understand, why can't they sell halal burgers and bacon burgers at the same time?" asked Delphine, 26. Is this move a move of respect, an interest to make more money or is it conforming out of fear? It is possible it is a move out of respect for the majority of inhabitants of the local communities, but it is an important sign of the growing population changes of France. Learn more about the population threat of radical Islam here.
