The Attorney General’s Urgent Message
According to Attorney General Eric Holder, Americans must "be prepared for potentially bad news."
In the last 18 months, over 50 Americans were charged with planning terror attacks. Many of these individuals were influenced by U.S. Citizen and al Qaeda member, Anwar al-Awlaki, who according to Holder, may be as great a threat as Osama bin Laden.
"The threat has changed from simply worrying about foreigners coming here, to worrying about people in the United States, American citizens -- raised here, born here, and who for whatever reason, have decided that they are going to become radicalized and take up arms against the nation in which they were born," Holder said in the interview with ABC News.

Another Homegrown Terror Attempt
For the second time in 2 weeks, a U.S. citizen attempted to use weapons of mass destruction on American soil.
Antonio Martinez, a recent convert to Islam who goes by the name Muhammad Hussain, attempted to detonate a fake bomb at a military recruitment center in Baltimore. His stated reason for choosing the recruitment center was his anger at the U.S. military for waging what he called, a “war on Muslims”.
2 in 2 weeks! These would-be-terrorists are living amongst us – we must ask ourselves what we can do to prevent further attempts to attack America from within.

Al-Awlaki, Here We Come
This week, a federal judge rejected a lawsuit, which challenged the governments' right to assassinate Anwar Al-Awlaki, a U.S. citizen and Al Qaeda member who was linked to the underwear bomber last Christmas, the Fort Hood shooting, the recent foiled cargo-plane bomb attempt, and is the "beloved sheikh" of Antonio Martinez, who attempted to blow up a military recruiting center yesterday in Baltimore.
After the judge’s verdict, Jameel Jaffer, Deputy Legal Director of the American Civil Liberties Union stated: "We continue to believe that the government's power to use lethal force against American citizens should be subject to meaningful oversight by the courts."
I definitely hear his point, and in general, I would agree. But this is a terrorist who coordinated numerous attacks against America! If I have to choose sides on this one, I choose America.

Wikileaks: Saudi Arabia Plays both Ways
Wikileaks revealed that Saudi Arabia urged the U.S. to "cut off the head" of the Iranian "snake", or to put it simply, attack and destroy Iran's nuclear program.
A nuclear Iran poses a threat to Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, and the entire world, so the Saudi's are calling on the U.S. to take action. Sounds like a good plan.
However, Wikileaks also show that Saudi Arabia continues to be the chief financial sponsor of al Qaeda and other Sunni terrorist groups.
Now let's get this straight. Saudi Arabia wants the U.S. to get rid of the nuclear program which greatly threatens Saudi Arabia, but finances the training of terrorists, and funds the planning and execution of numerous attacks, which target and threaten the U.S. and American citizens?!? Something doesn't add up here.
Terror and Counter-Terror, Long Distance Style
Mailed printer toner cartridges filled with chemicals planned to explode midair on its way to Chicago--- wow, al-Qaeda is sure getting creative and desperate to keep on hurting and scaring. The packages were traced back to Yemen where U.S. born al-Qaeda operative Anwar al-Awlaki is believed to be hiding out, keeping busy by inciting hate and inspiring such terror plans (recall the underwear bomber last Christmas). Luckily, the mailed bomb packages were intercepted in England and Dubai after a tip from Saudi Arabia.
With this latest scare, there's been pressure on Yemen to crack down on festering terrorism. Al-Awlaki has been on the CIA's hit list since April and now the Yemen government has finally brought a charge against him, in absentia.
Just take a moment to appreciate the breathtaking international scope of all of this-- from Yemen to Chicago, stopped in Dubai and England, involving the Saudis. Terrorism really does transcend boundaries. The critical question is: Has global counter-terrorism become as effective and coordinated to fight back? This time we've been lucky... who's to say next time? And where's the United Nations in all of this? Shouldn't the UN be more proactively spearheading and improving global counter-terrorism efforts?
Islam and Violence
This is gory, be careful!
"Story of the 12-year-old Indonesian Christian schoolgirls beheaded by Muslims."
Is this just one incident that could have been Indonesian Christians beheading Muslim schoolgirls... or does this say more about Islam?
