It is my unfortunate duty to bring to your attention an issue that is important to me--as a concerned citizen--and to the greater DC community.
I have been informed that your hotel is hosting CAIR’s annual banquet this Saturday, October 24, 2009.
Please consider this letter a formal request to the Marriott Hotel Crystal Gateway to cancel the CAIR banquet this Saturday, October 24th. Moreover, please consider this letter a formal request to the Marriott chain to decline reservations made by CAIR representatives worldwide in the future.
Aside from the fact that their keynote speaker, Siraj Wahhaj is an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, by offering CAIR a platform you are compromising the protection of our western values and our national security.
The keynote speaker, Wahhaj wants the United States of America to be dominated by Islam. In one speech, Wahhaj held up a Koran and clearly stated that his goal and every Muslims goal should be to replace the Constitution with the Koran and bring Islamic governance to the West.
The reasons why you should not host CAIR’s banquet are numerous and I will list a few here.
• CAIR was designated as an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terror finance trial in American history, the Holy Land Foundation trial.
• Although CAIR has condemned acts of terror, it has never specifically denounced Hamas or Hezbollah as terror organizations, even though both have been listed as Designated Foreign Terrorist Organizations by the federal government.
• It took CAIR at least one month to condemn Osama bin Laden after 9/11.
• Over 60% of CAIR’s funding is said to be from Persian Gulf sources.
As a concerned citizen, I am asking you to send a clear message by refusing to provide CAIR a platform. I am asking you to put the safety of Americans first.

CAIR-Hamas Annual Banquet invitations have gone out to all... Chicago's own 'Windy City' representative, Jesse Jackson, will host the 2009 Hamas fundraising event. The Florida Security Council, a counterterrorism organization targeting the growing threat of radical Islamic terrorism, filed a lawsuit Wednesday against the Marriott Hotel in Delray Beach, Fla., for breach of contract for its abrupt cancellation of an appearance by controversial Dutch politician Geert Wilders.
The council was sponsor of a free speech summit and conference in April in South Florida honoring Wilders.
The cancellation of the event came as a complete surprise to security council Director Tom Trento, who stated, “The fact that the Marriott sent me an e-mail at 7 p.m. on a Friday night canceling our well-planned event made it very plain to me that something was up. I suspected there was more here than a breach of contract.”
