The Koran states that it is permissible to lie out right to a non believer in order to achieve the goals of Islam. How can this audience sit and politely chuckle at his statements? Look at what is happening in Europe. It is only a matter of time until Americans loose their fundamental rights we so cherish if we don't stand up and stop this now. I feel the same way about ALL religions. Since they are all based on blind faith, they aren't rational, can't be argued with or modified, and are totalitarian. Hellenic religions put to death many heretics, including the brilliant philosopher, Socrates. Druids, Christians, Jews, Hindus, and Moslems have all killed people they thought were heretics. Even the usually benign and contemplative Buddhists are not immune to such savagery. I say a pox on all religions. The United States did a very wise thing when they wrote the Constitution to keep religion out of government, so we have, for the most part, been spared the crazy and vicious rule of fanatics.
Anonymous: Even though I am not an observant of the faith into which I was born, I'm not, as you are, comparing old religious observances with current. Of the religions you mentioned, only Islam supports the torture, punishment, stoning, and death now, compared to the others that have evolved over the centuries into peoples who seek peace. Ever since 9/11, there have been more than 16,000 deadly jihad attacks (by Muslims) against 5 other religions (who are not at war with each other), not to mention what Muslim men due to their own women and do to each other. Islam is following laws that were made by Muhammad in the 7th century; he was a warrior, a pedophile, a woman-hater, and more. Other religions have evolved into countries that, for the most part, appreciate democracy; in all the Islamic countries of the world, there is not one democracy.
I'm not telling you that you have to be religious in any faith, but be realistic and honest with yourself. Islam is the only religion that does NOT have democracy for its people. Also don't forget that where some tyrants are in charge, it may be only power and greed, not religion. Seek truth so you can learn to recognize the enemy and deal properly with it. Otherwise, you may be lying to yourself the way Islam wants to lie to you; cloud the issue with taqiyya (deceit) so that you remain misinformed and unable to deal properly with the issue.
The worst genocides the world has ever know were committed by atheists - Stalin and Mao. If these two atheists were not crazy fanatics then who is/was? Atheism is a blind faith that can not be proven, including the illogical belief that the universe created itself out of nothing.
The writers of the US constitution were exceptionally wise and not just for keeping religion separate from government. The courts have ruled that Atheism is a religion but it is the state religion which is surely a breach of the constitution. The founding fathers recognised that putting too much power in the hands of too few people always ends badly so they distributed the power three ways. Unfortunately under Obama the constitutional safeguards are being ignored and power is being increasingly accumulated in the executive branch (the White House) at the expense of the other two branches. This will not end well for the US.
Which faith is it that you can provide tangible evidence that god exits? You can't because religions are based on dogmas. All faith is entirely blind and cannot be 'proven', therefore, your point contradicts itself. Are you making an argument or just combining as many fallacies as you can in one paragraph? Who taught you logic? Your rationale is so bad you can't make a claim without being subjective I.E. atheists hold the 'illogical' belief “the universe created itself out of nothing"(in which you are referring to the big bang?) What gives you the right to assert that all atheists believe this (fallacy of hasty generalization)? Clearly you could use some help formulating a coherent/objective argument. Now, when you refer to the "galaxy creating itself", you are entering a game of semantics regarding what constitutes 'something' and what constitutes 'nothing' In more simple terms, if the universe did not create itself out of 'nothing', then 'something' has always existed. This being said, If 'something' has always existed (your view), then the universe wasn't created at all (is not finite).Is it still so illogical that the universe created itself out of nothing? No more than to it is to be sure 'something' has always existed. To address your claim about "crazy fanatics"(the TWO that you named), here are a few religious regimes/leaders that have caused genocide and/or caused mass exile in the world, based on a dogmatic ideology- 1)Turkey(Kremlin Ideology)Armenian Genocide-1 million or more deaths 2) Iraqi Kurds (Genocide) Motivated by pro-Islam/anti-Kurd campaign(1986-present) 3)East Timor(1975-1999)/West New Guinea/West Papua(1963-present) Separate incidents in time and place by Indonesia(Adherent of the Sharia) 4) Israel- Do i need mention the British Mandate of Palestine and the effects of Zionism (religious 'justified' irredentism if you will)on now impoverished Palestinians? I believe our Constitution says that "the government shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibit free exercise thereof". That, to me, doesn't mean the Constitution "keeps religion out of government, as you stated. Read up on who the Founding Fathers were and what they believed. It's quite different than the spin the Supreme Court has put on the Constitution in the last 30 years.....

King Constantine strove to unite the break away religious sects eminating from Israel, by selecting various books from the religious rightings of the time. The new testament was created and added to the old to create the bible as we know it today. It tended to control the masses in a love thy neigbour type of way.
This was 4 or 5 hundred years befor the birth of Islam, which took many writings from the old testament.

I am not Jewish, but agree that the spread by terrorism and military means of this Jihad must be stopped at all costs.
Imigrants to a country with a free society must be made to conform to that countries traditions and if they are found to be underhandedly underminding that tradition, they must be deported to a country which practices what they believe in. Actually the Islamic religion is according, to this guy American constitution compliant. So there is never going to be a need for Sharia law in North America. Muslims should comply to the constution not bring their laws to another land. Sharia does not belong in North America. If you want it go to a contry in the middle east to live.
