NEW YORK, Dec 01, 2008 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Clarion Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the American people about national security issues, condemned the terrorist attacks in Mumbai, India that have claimed the lives of more than 180 people and wounded another 295.

Lashkar-e-Taiba, an Islamic militant organization with links to Al Qaeda, appears to be responsible for the attacks. Raphael Shore, the founder of Clarion Fund and the producer of the award-winning documentary, Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West, issued the following statement:

"The tragic slaying of innocent lives in India is a frightening reminder of the destruction that a small band of Islamic militants can inflict anytime, anywhere. The attacks in Mumbai, which appear to be intended to inflame tensions between India and Pakistan, point up the importance of the international community making a shared commitment to combating terrorism.
